Course Description

The sub-specialized diversity of gynecologic pathology covers numerous sites, diseases and cancers with nuanced details regarding classification of disease, intra-operative consultations, newly-described tests, and staging of gynecologic malignancies. This course concentrates on the intricacies of these complex elements in an effort to enhance what is encountered in real-time clinical practice and introduces surgical pathologists to many of the “pitfalls and pearls” that can be encountered in the routine evaluation and reporting of gynecologic surgical pathology specimens. Whether you’re in clinical community or academic practice, or a pathologist-in-training, this information is invaluable to your performance. Course Objectives

      Develop expertise in the interpretation of gynecologic frozen section
        and biopsy specimens
      Adequately use and interpret some of the most commonly used adjunctive
        studies in gynecologic pathology
      Evaluate staging pathologic parameters in gynecologic cancer consistently and precisely
      Develop comprehensive differential diagnoses in gynecologic pathology and use
        up-to-date knowledge and tools in resolving them

The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology designates this live activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

USCAP is approved by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) to offer Self-Assessment credits (SAMs) for the purpose of meeting the ABP requirements for Continuing Certification (CC).

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations received one month or more before the course starts, a $50 administrative charge will be due. After that date, cancellations will be assessed an administrative charge of 25% of the total registration fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations one week before the event.
